Classmates:
A man who lived in a block of apartments thought it
was raining and put his head out the window to check. As
he did so a glass eye fell into his hand.

a young woman looking down.
"Is this yours?" he asked.
She said, "Yes, could you bring it up?" and the man
agreed.
On arrival she was profuse in her thanks and offered
the man a drink. As she was very attractive he agreed.
Shortly afterwards she said, "I'm about to have dinner.
There's plenty. Would you like to join me?"
He readily accepted her offer and both enjoyed a
lovely meal. As the evening was drawing to a close the
lady said, "I've had a marvelous evening. Would you like
to stay the night?"
The man hesitated then said, "Do you act like this
with every man you meet?"

"No," she replied, "Only those who catch my eye."

大家好！
作为你们孩子的英语老师，我想通过这个家长会，和你们共
同探讨一下“怎样帮助孩子学好英语”、“家长和教师如何共同
帮助孩子学习成长”等问题，希望各位家长针对各自孩子在生
活、学习等方面的表现，提出宝贵意见，一起帮助孩子快乐学
习、健康成长。首先，我先说一下孩子们的学习表现。这个班的
英语，我是从三年级就一直带着的，学生们都是在同一起跑线上
学习进步的，经过两年来的学习，学生与学生之间的学习表现不
一，拉开了一定差距。一些学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂
上思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。
他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为
他们感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，
得过且过，兴趣不浓，书面作业拖拉不交，口头作业根本不完
成，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事，麻烦事，学习成绩一直
提不上去。其实，大部分的学生还是处于中间层次，老师所教
的，所布置的作业能够基本完成，但学习的效率又因人而异，存
在着个体差别。尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的
力，但是说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，我们教师和各位
家长的心情一样，总希望他们能够再上一个台阶，能够学有所
成。
